CEO and Founder of Healthy Buildings
As the founder and CEO of the Healthy Buildings Companies, Bob as worked for over 30 years to improve the health and well-being of people, and that of our planet, through the built environment.
Net-zero energy housing, beyond-green building technologies, and creative investment vehicles are the tools hat have enable Bob to successfully build over 200 projects throughout California, including:
- A new student dormitory for the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, CA, that achieved LEED Gold.
- Sunrise Montessori, the first fully green school in Northern California
- Valley Oak Villas, a 56-unit project which was identified as one of the Top Three Green Neighborhoods in Northern California by Solano Magazine in 2008.
- The 24-unit supportive housing project for the Gasser Foundation in Napa, which also achieved LEED Gold.
As developer, architect, contractor, and consultant, the Healthy Buildings Companies focus on workforce and affordable housing projects, particularly multifamily. The Healthy Buildings team includes architects, interior designers, project managers, construction managers, LEED APs, and green building consultants.
The secret to the affordability of his high-performance projects is Healthy Buildings' proprietary "OTechnology." Developments can be built in 30% less time than conventional construction, lowering the overall construction cost; these savings are then used to fund the green and healthy features.
